The local non-profit Sharing Tree in Moore is kicking off its signature Christmas Connection program with some adjustments for this year.
The normally 4-day event is being spread out over a couple weeks.
On average 500-700 families come here to shop for toys and clothes for their children.
This year, the program is serving over 800 families, with more on a waiting list.
"We have seen an increase in need for our services but a decrease in volunteers," said Tabitha Narvaiz.
The group is in need of toys, coats and financial donations.
