Police Identify Couple Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide In NW OKC

The couple killed in an apparent murder-suicide in northwest Oklahoma City has been identified.

Elizabeth Stockard-McGirt, 46, and Michael McGirt, 46, were identified as the couple found dead in the 4000 block of Cherry Hill Lane.

Police were called about 7 p.m. Friday in reference to a man saying he shot his wife.

When officers arrived, the man reportedly shot himself while still on the phone with 911 dispatch.

Investigators said both suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
