The prosecution and defense in David Shores' murder trial are expected to present their closing arguments Monday morning at an Oklahoma County Courthouse.

Shores' is accused of violently killing his girlfriend, Susan Freehauf, in September of 2018. Though her body was never found, investigators zeroed in on Shores.

During the trial last week, prosecutors presented jurors with security footage showing Shores loading boxes and bags from Freehauf’s car into an OKC storage unit.

Investigators said they found Freehauf’s personal belongings inside the unit, and bloody carpet stains at the couple’s apartment.

Prosecutors also presented phone logs, claiming Shores was the last person to have his girlfriend’s phone, based on the last communication she made until she was reported missing.

Investigators believe the couple was having problems in the relationship at the time and Freehauf wanted out.

The jury trial is expected to start back up at 9 a.m.
