Police Detain 1 Person In NW OKC After Chase

One person was detained Friday after a chase in the Oklahoma City metro area.

The chase started in the Del City area and ended on NW 23rd Street near Walker Avenue in Oklahoma City.

While the vehicle did not speed too fast in the metro, the driver drove into opposite lanes of traffic and circled around in intersections.

Del City police said they initiated the chase because the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic and almost hit a Del City patrol cruiser.

The chase ended when the driver stopped in the middle of the westbound lanes of NW 23rd Street.

The driver has not been identified.
