Two people were injured in a burglary-turned-shooting early Thursday in Norman, police said.
Police were called shortly after 2:10 a.m. to a home in the 1000 block of West Boyd Street. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
That man was identified as 23-year-old Dalton Deleon. He told police he heard someone rummaging through his vehicle in his driveway. Deleon said he stopped the suspect, a 17-year-old male, who then ran from the scene.
Deleon told police he chased the suspect on Boyd Street to the intersection of Merrywood Lane. Deleon told police the 17-year-old then pulled a gun and shot at him.
Deleon, who was also armed, told officers he returned fire.
Deleon was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police said officers found the suspect a short time later in Lions Park, 450 S. Flood Ave., with a gunshot wound.

The suspect, whose name was not released, was booked into the Cleveland County jail on complaints of burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.
