Grady Co. Man Arrested On Shooting With Intent To Kill Complaint

The Chickasha Police Department arrested a man they said shot a man following a verbal argument Tuesday night.

Police responded to a shooting call around 9:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of W. Oregon Ave.

Investigators said 20-year-old Beau Hunter Gwin and Dylan Lee Johnson, 21, were arguing when Gwin pulled out a gun and shot Johnson.

Witnesses told authorities that Johnson was confronting Gwin for driving recklessly, shooting fireworks at a group of people playing basketball on the street, and making verbal threats to shoot the same group, according to a news release.

Witnesses of the shooting took Johnson to Grady Memorial Hospital ER. He was later taken via medical helicopter to OU Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.

Gwin was located in Ninnekah, Oklahoma and taken into custody. He faces a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.
