Oklahoma will see a chilly start to the day Tuesday, but there will be a quick warmup.
Temperatures will be in the 70s by lunchtime. Highs will climb into the 70s and 80s. Sunny skies are expected.
Tuesday night, lows will be in the 40s and 50s with clear skies.
Wednesday will be a hot and windy day. There will be close to record highs across the state with temperatures in the 80s and 90s on the way.
A dryline will punch into western Oklahoma, and this will ramp up the fire threat by dropping the humidity. Low humidity will allow temperatures to soar behind the boundary.
A strong cold front arrives early Thursday morning. This will mean strong north winds and cooler temperatures on Thursday.
