The Oklahoma City Fire Department, including its Dive Team, responded to a call of a person possibly in distress Thursday morning in northwest Oklahoma City.
The person was reportedly located on the west side of the dam on Lake Overholser, holding onto an object.
Bob Mills SkyNews 9 was over the scene as responders rescued the person just before 10 a.m. Thursday.
The person, who authorities confirmed is a 17-year-old male, was not wearing a life vest prior to the rescue.
The male was checked out on the scene and is OK.
Authorities are investigating why the person was in distress.
