Jim Hopper is the President of the Oklahoma Restaurant Association and said since the start of the pandemic restaurants in the Sooner state have lost $500 million in revenue.

On top of that, Hopper said 65,000 people working at restaurants have been either furloughed or laid off.

According to Hopper restaurants are following proper CDC and sanitation guidelines and eating out will help these businesses through a struggling time.

“We hope that you support restaurants every day,” Said Hopper. “But we really want to bring an emphasis at the start of fall to say if you ever wanted to pick a time to help out a restaurant now is the time to do it because they really do need your help”

Whether it is dining in, getting delivery or carrying out, Hopper said any contribution to these restaurants will help.
