Drug Maker Moderna Says COVID-19 Vaccine Shows Promise

Several drug makers are now in final the stages of COVID-19 vaccine trials and officials from the drug maker Moderna said their vaccine is showing promise in older adults.

The company has seen results from an early safety study shows its vaccine produces antibodies in older adults similar to those in younger.

According to Moderna officials said side effects are roughly the same as those with high-dose flu shots with many participants having no adverse reactions.

Researchers have said that the results are reassuring because immunity can weaken with age.
