Man Arrested, Baby Saved From Vehicle After High-Speed Pursuit In OKC

Police arrested 28-year-old Kody Hudson who is locked up in Oklahoma County Detention Center, accused of six crimes. News 9's Bonnie Campo has the story.

Police arrested 28-year-old Kody Hudson who is locked up in Oklahoma County Detention Center, accused of six crimes.

Oklahoma City police said after Hudson tried to cash a hot check at a bank, he then led officers on a high-speed chase with a baby in the back seat.

The chase ended as officers said they witnessed Hudson’s Monte Carlo rear-end a parked car near Southwest 43rd Street, near Walker Avenue.

Oklahoma City Police report Hudson then repeatedly rammed a police cruiser when he tried to escape again.

His arrest, and the rescue of the young child, was caught by officers on body camera footage.

Hudson faces multiple complaints including attempt to obtain money by false pretense, child neglect, endangering others while eluding police officer, reckless driving, receiving stolen property and uttering a forged instrument.

His bond is set at $130,000.
