Store Owner Accused Of Shooting Man Inside NW OKC Business

Oklahoma City police are investigating a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to investigators the owner of DolEx Dollar Express, near Northwest 23rd Street and Ann Arbor, shot a man inside his store.

As of Monday afternoon, police would only confirm that two men---the business owner and the shooting victim were arguing.

“Somebody is like, ‘Help me! Help me! Help me!” said witness Cesar Alberto.

Alberto and his daughters were pulling into the business next door when they heard a single gunshot from inside the DolEx Dollar Express.

“We just pulled in; we heard a gunshot when I was getting my kids out of the salon. Coming out there was a guy begging for his life outside of the store,” said Alberto.

After pulling his daughters to safety Cesar glanced into the store where he said he saw blood and heard the men continue to argue.

“They were screaming at each other inside the store, he said they owe him money,” said Alberto.

With a gunshot wound to the stomach Cesar said the shooting victim stumbled out of the store.

“The other guys started grabbing him, that's when the guy started running out the door,” said Alberto.

Witnesses said the bloodied victim managed to walk about a block east of the business---with the gunman chasing him while driving a red SUV.

“The owner chased him over there, that’s where they caught him,” said Alberto,  

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital. Police said both men would be questioned by detectives.

Police also said the business had surveillance cameras that will be reviewed.

In the meantime, while shaken Cesar said he's glad he and his daughters were not hurt.

“They were shaking, my daughter started vomiting,” said Alberto.               

At last check the shooting victim remained hospitalized.
