OKCPS Suspends Special Education, Extracurricular Activities For At Least 2 Weeks

Oklahoma City Public Schools announced Friday students participating in traditional remote or e3 online program will continue uninterrupted, but in-person learning for Special Education self-contained classes are suspended until further notice.

The district also announced that all extracurricular and athletics events will be canceled beginning Monday, Sept. 28. Indoor athletics are canceled, effective immediately.

The decision was made due to Oklahoma County's COVID-19 threat level rising to Orange Level 2 on Friday.
