Oklahoma City police responded to the scene of what was initially reported as a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

The incident happened at the Valero gas station at the intersection of Northwest 122nd Street and North Western Avenue.

According to police, the back windshield of an officer's vehicle is gone but no officers were hit.

Police are investigating what shattered the back windshield of the unit.

After examining the vehicle, Oklahoma City police Capt. Larry Withrow said it appears the damage was a result of a mechanical issue with the window frame.

Withrow said there is no evidence indicating the window was shot.

This is a developing story.
