One man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after a shooting Monday morning in southeast Norman that police are calling an attempted murder-suicide.
Police told News 9 they are not searching for a suspect. They think this incident was a domestic situation.
Police said the man and woman were not married, but in a relationship. The status of the relationship is being investigated.
A woman was taken to the hospital, suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said they think it was the woman who made the 911 call just after 6 a.m. from the home near 24th Avenue Southeast and Lindsey Street.
"One deceased person inside the residence, another with life-threatening injuries was transported to the hospital,” said Norman police spokesman David Teuscher.
Police said they also found an unharmed child, 12, in the home who told authorities that they slept through most of the shooting.
This is a developing story.
