It is said every year, to get your flu shot, but doctors said it is more important than ever with COVID-19 still here this year.
Health professionals said that they have concerns because they aren’t for sure how people’s bodies would react if they were to get influenza and COVID-19 at the same time.
"We really don't know,” said Dr. Jim Kirk. “We know influenza can be a very serious illness. It claims thousands of people in the U.S. in any given year.”
Doctors said getting the two of them together is a mixture they think would not be good.
According to the state health department’s website, there have been three reported cases.
The CDC suggests everyone over the age of 6 months get the flu vaccine before the end of October.
