Staff Member At Mustang Public Schools Dies As Result Of COVID-19 Complications

A Mustang Public Schools' staff member died as a result of complications from COVID-19, the district said Wednesday.

A Mustang Public Schools' staff member died as a result of complications from COVID-19, the district said Wednesday.

In a letter released to families and staff, Mustang Public Schools Superintendent Charles Bradley said the staff member dedicated years of service to the students and staff of Mustang Public Schools.

The staff member's family requested privacy and the district said it will not release anymore information concerning the staff member's death.

"We thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers," Bradley said.

All district employees have been automatically enrolled in an employee assistance program if they wish to speak to someone.

Bradley said the district does not believe this case was a "result of a link to the school environment."

The district will continue to work with state and local health agencies to monitor the pandemic and will do they can to affirm their commitment to the health and safety of the district's staff and students, Bradley said.
