New court documents revealed what led up to a deadly shooting at the Community Food Mart store in northeast Oklahoma City.
Police arrested Cori Gay, 22, and Marlon Craft, 42, shortly after the shooting that killed a man and left a woman badly injured.
Police identified the man who died as 36-year-old Leonard Roberson and the other victim was 31-year-old Jasmine Harmon.
Two eye witnesses told investigators they saw the two suspects dressed in all black and wearing masks ambush the victims in front of the store near NE 23rd and Lottie Avenue.
The witnesses saw a man walk up to Roberson and shoot him several times in front of the store. Another man was seen running from the store after the shooting.
A woman who was with the victim was shot in the lower part of her body, according to police. She was taken into surgery and is expected to live.
According to court documents, a witness heard seven gunshots and said Gay ran from the scene. Police found him hiding in the grass near a home on NE 25th and Lottie Avenue.
Investigators also noted there was an abandoned white car not far near the store. Witnesses told police they saw a white car drive by the store shortly before the shooting.
Gay and Craft were arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on first-degree murder complaints.
Both suspects have several felony convictions. Craft has served prison time for shooting with intent to kill and robbery.
Authorities are still searching for the family of Leonard Roberson. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.
