A Bethany man was arrested Friday after he was accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a woman early Wednesday.

Michael Frogge, 42, was arrested on complaints of rape and robbery.

Bethany police were called shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday to an apartment complex near NW 23rd and Rockwell Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been beaten and she was taken to a hospital.

Officers determined she had been sexually assaulted, beaten and her purse had been stolen.

After reviewing security footage and conducting several interviews with residents and the property manager, officers were able to get an arrest warrant for Frogge.

Police said Frogge did not know the victim and this was a random act of violence.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Bethany police at 405-789-2323.
