Okla. To See Showers, Storms Before Heat Returns Wednesday

Oklahoma will see a few showers and storms in the west through midday Wednesday and then will heat up!

Skies will be mostly sunny in the afternoon and temperatures will quickly climb.

Look for highs ranging from the 80s to the 100s. The heat index will be much higher across central and southern Oklahoma. In fact the heat index could again be dangerously hot. The feel like temperature will range from 100 to 112.

There will be a slight chance for rain Wednesday night in the northeast, and then temperatures will be even hotter Thursday.

The big time summer heat continues into Saturday, and then a cold front arrives. This will bring relief into the first of next week.
