Tulsa Public School officials say they expect about 80% of its special education students to choose distance learning when the school year starts.

They say teachers will give those kids frequent breaks knowing they may not be able to focus on a Zoom call for a long period of time. The district is also offering in-person classes for special education students. The school day will run the same length for the most part and there will be bus routes for students who need it.

"They really rely on that in-person contact and that opportunity to know that somebody's close by," said Debbie Renz with TPS.

Renz says she expects about 150 to 200 special education students to take in-person classes when school starts August 31st. For More Details CLICK HERE
