Oklahoma City Public Schools announced Wednesday that it will offer two learning options for students beginning this fall.
The Remote Learning option will allow teachers to instruct students while they are home. in addition to OKCPS' learning management system, the district said assessments developed by teachers will also be utilized.
The second option, also known as the e3 Online Learning option, allows to students to work "at their own pace," according to the district.
Students will have access to a teacher as a mentor, but the district said it will primarily be "self-led learning."
Both options will be reevaluated halfway within the first nine weeks of the semester to determine if these learning formats are having a positive effect on students.
OKCPS encourages parents to visit www.okcps.org/BacktoSchool to learn more about the two learning options.
