Edmond City Council Passes Mask Ordinance

The Edmond City Council has passed an ordinance pertaining to face masks.

According to the ordinance, all persons shall wear face coverings when entering and while inside any indoor place open to the public.

The ordinance passed 3 to 2 and will go into effect in 30 days on Aug. 26.

The ordinance did not pass as an emergency provision.

The ordinance will expire at midnight on Sept. 8, 2020.
