EL RENO, Okla. -

Neighbors are in shock after a double stabbing left one man dead and second hospitalized in El Reno overnight Sunday.

According to El Reno Police, were called to home near South Francis and Watts Road around midnight.

"You never know when they're not going to be by your side anymore," said Ebony Dawson, El Reno resident. "You never know when they're just going to be gone."

What began as a typical Saturday night in a residential area turned violent quickly.

"This is a pretty good little neighborhood right here," said Tony Ross, El Reno resident."To have something like this take place last night is, I mean it's kind of an eye-opening experience."

20-year-old Miguel Jones was one of two men stabbed, he later died.

Investigators say they located 22-year-old Christopher Nelson near the crime scene. Nelson was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

According to neighbors, several people were gathered.

"They were just outside talking having a good time," said Tony Ross, El Reno resident. "Some guy that no one knew came up behind him and made threats, they chased him back to this house and he grabbed a knife and started stabbing people," said Ross.

"It's tragic," said Dawson. "It's not something you want to wake up to."

The condition of the second victim remains unknown.
