Stillwater police responded to multiple reports of a shooting near the intersection of West 11th Avenue and South Hester Street just after 12:15 a.m. Saturday.
During their response, an officer contacted two individuals in a vehicle near West 13th Avenue. The driver of the vehicle disclosed to the officer that they had been involved in a shooting incident.
Authorities said an individual in the vehicle claimed to be the shooter. A firearm was found in the vehicle, but police did not clarify which of the individuals in the car identified themselves as the shooter.
Dispatchers received a call from the emergency room at Stillwater Medical Center where a person was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The person, who police identified as a juvenile, was flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. At last check, the juvenile was in stable condition.
The Stillwater Police Department is continuing its investigation of this case. No arrests have been made.
