The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission benefit payments will be delayed for 24-hours Wednesday because the commission still needs to review the payments.

Claimants should receive their payments by the end of the day Thursday.

The commission said it handed out all 500 front-of-line passes for its claims processing events Wednesday and Thursday at the Reed Center in Midwest City.

Passholders were required to hand in their tickets at 7 a.m. before meeting with staff to get help.

The OESC said the Reed Center will be open Monday for people who get "front of line" passes Wednesday and Thursday.

Next Monday, the OESC offices will be open again to help more people after this week’s event.

The OESC is holding other claim processing events in Tulsa next week on Wednesday and Thursday.

Unemployed Oklahomans are encouraged to reach out to their local offices to schedule an appointment or they can go to here to speak with an agent virtually.
