Oklahoma City Police Release Their 'Top 10' Wanted Sex Offenders

Tuesday, July 7th 2020, 4:23 pm

Oklahoma City police released a list on Tuesday of wanted sexual predators. The 10 convicted sex offenders now have a warrant for their arrest for failing to register.

“These are offenders that we want to know their location to be able to keep tabs on them,” said Sgt. Megan Morgan, Oklahoma City Police Department.

The nine men and one woman were presumed to be living in the Oklahoma City metro. They were all convicted of sexual offenses in Oklahoma and police said several of them did prison time for crimes against children.

Police said 44-year-old Rhonda Gilcrease, also known as Rhonda Brewer, was last seen in downtown Oklahoma City. She was convicted in Murray County more than a decade ago for taking part in the molestation of four children.

Investigators need the public's help finding her and the others on their most wanted list.

“One is wanted for attempted rape,” said Morgan. “And a couple other for rape convictions and one for sexual battery.”

Leonard Dewitt, 57, was convicted of an attempted rape behind an Oklahoma City metro grocery store. Court records indicated Dewitt had been charged before for failing to register.

Police released the last known locations for Dewitt and the other wanted felons. Police said some of the offenders may be homeless but are still required to check-in frequently.

“Some of them did have an address and have just failed to register, and detectives, despite their best efforts, have not been able to locate where they are,” Morgan said.

Police ask the public to call 911 if they know the immediate whereabouts of any of the people on their list.

On top of their convictions, the offenders face a new felony charge.

“It is a felony to not; to fail to register as a sex offender,” Morgan said.

The public can also leave tips by calling Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300. A reward will be given to tips that lead to the arrest of the wanted offenders.
