The 2020 Norman Music Festival has been canceled, according to a Wednesday afternoon Facebook post on the festival's page.
The festival, which runs annually each April, was originally postponed to August due to COVID-19 concerns.
"We were optimistic and hopeful that the postponement from April to August (2020) would allow us to safely present the festival this year, and we are disappointed that we don't feel that we are able to do so, after all," the festival's Facebook post said, in part.
The festival said it will explore "new, safe ways" to support Oklahoma musicians and music lovers.
The Norman Music Alliance, which operates the Norman Music Festival, expects the three-day event to return in 2021.
