Teenagers who organized a Black Lives Matter rally Tuesday said they were bound together in their search for justice.

“I’m here to make change in the world, that's really my purpose,” said event organizer Amaya Harris, 15.

“We want everyone to have a great time, listen to what we have to say, and we can make the change locally and nationwide,” said event organizer Imani Gautt, 17.

While Gautt and Harris have yet to graduate high school, they've got lofty goals for themselves and a country divided.

“It’s very personal because we have five women of color coming together organizing this event, bringing change, catching people's attention that’s all we want to do,” said Gautt.

Through music and peaceful conversation organizers hope to bring about change and healing.

“Black lives matter, my son’s matters,” said Leslie Tolliver.
