Tulsa police said Norman City Councilwoman Alexandria Scott was arrested Saturday evening while trying to climb a flag pole near the BOK Center.

Scott has been very public about her feelings and frustrations with police. She was arrested Saturday night for obstruction.

According to a police report, Scott was outside the BOK Center before President Trump's rally. Officers said they found her climbing a flag pole using straps and climbing gear. Police had to cut those to take her into custody.

Scott was released the same night after bonding out.

Since, News 9 has reached out to the councilwoman over email and Twitter but haven't gotten a response.

The councilwoman has been vocal in Tweets before posting, "What do Coronavirus and Cops have in common? Disproportionately killing people of color."

At the end of May she also posted about an experience with the Norman Police Dept.

Scott is supposed to end her term as a councilwoman in about two weeks, and she's now running for State Senate.

News 9 has also reached out to the city's mayor for a comment.
