Tinker Air Force Base confirmed three more cases of COVID-19 on Friday morning. The total number of cases reported by the base has risen to 44.
According to the base, the latest confirmed COVID-19 cases include a Reservist who has not been on the installation since February, a civilian who worked in Quality Assurance at OC-ALC and a civilian assigned to the 567th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. All members have been quarantined.
Tinker's new cases came after the Oklahoma State Department of Health reported 450 new cases of COVID-19 statewide on Thursday afternoon. The 450 new cases are the state's new single-day record.
Tinker Air Force Base has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 since Monday.
The base reported just 10 new positive cases between April 22 and May 27. However, 11 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Tinker Air Force Base since June 4.
Tinker Air Force Base reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 25.
