Oklahoma City police said Tuesday night’s double shooting near Northeast 39th and Hiwassee could be connected to last week's double homicide in Spencer.
In the report, police said they found one victim with a gunshot wound at the Dunjee Apartments around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The second victim arrived at a Midwest City hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Both men are in their 20s and early 30s and are expected to recover.
Police said both men were walking down the street when a white truck pulled up and someone in the bed of the truck started shooting.
Witnesses told officers there was a shootout between people in the truck and a grey car.
Police found shell casings at the scene.
"There were some witness statements that may the pickup were shooting at another vehicle, not at the victims. that's still under investigation at this time,” OCPD officer Gary Knight said.
No arrests have been made.
Witnesses told police the suspect was in a 2015 white GMC pick-up truck but no suspect description is available.
