Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly house fire, Friday morning in southeast Oklahoma City.
Fire officials said when crews arrived to the home near Southeast 44th Street and South Sunnylane Road they found visible smoke and the fire in the attic.
Before firefighters arrived, a neighbor tried to help and find the victim, who is an older woman that lived alone. The neighbor was unable to get too far into the home before he had to turn around.
Firefighters immediately found the victim in the kitchen of the home. Fire officials said she was taken out of the home but had already died.
