Oklahoma was part of Former Vice President Joe Biden's southern scoop win Tuesday night, in a vote that upended what many thought to be the beginning of a more progressive trend among Oklahoma Democrats in 2016 and 2018.

Biden ended the night in Oklahoma with nearly 39 percent of the vote and 21 delegates.

A distant second was Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) who took nearly the entire state in 2016 by double digits but Tuesday night, the tables certainly turned against the Democrats’ more liberal wing. Sanders did not win a single county in the state. Oklahoma has 37 delegates awarded by votes. 24 are awarded by Congressional district. 13 are at-large, including five party leader and elected official delegates. The state also has five super delegates making for 42 overall electoral delegates come the convention.

Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) both came in at 14 and 13 percent respectively. There totals are below the 15 percent threshold needed to earn any statewide delegates at all. Bloomberg was awarded three congressional delegates.

Bloomberg spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on this campaign in this state and Warren often touted her Oklahoma roots on the campaign trail. On Tuesday morning, Bloomberg dropped out of the race and endorsed Biden.

Most analysts credit what's being called the Biden family reunion for his victory. The reunion was the simultaneous endorsements from the party's major moderate candidates, fmr. South Bend, In Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), who were still standing after the early primary states-- leaving about a third of votes to be diverted to the former Vice President, according to the most recent News9/SoonerPoll survey.

Nearly half of all voters Tuesday made up their minds the days just before the primary, according to a CNN exit poll, meaning those last-minute endorsements designed to take a win from Sanders seem to have paid off in the Sooner State.

"Our campaign is one for anyone who has been knocked down, counted out, or left behind. Oklahomans sent a message to the rest of the country: this is the campaign that will send Donald Trump packing," Biden Spokesperson Meira Bernstein said after Biden’s victory was announced.

On the other side of the aisle President Donald Trump won without a real contest, earning 93 percent of the vote. Trump tweeted his thanks to Oklahoma voters along with the other 12 states that voted on Super Tuesday.
