Partygoers were caught on camera on Monday running from a home in the Copper Creek neighborhood near Northwest 178th and Pennsylvania Avenue after a drive-by shooting. Police have not arrested anyone in connection to the shooting.

Neighbors said the shooting was not the first time police have been called to the Airbnb rental home. Police confirmed they responded on May 2 to a noise complaint at the home.

The woman who rented the home for her birthday said everyone was in an upstairs room when they heard gunshots.

A Ring camera on a next-door neighbor’s home captured the chaos moments after the shooting. Police said there was a disagreement that broke out at the party and that led to the drive-by shooting.

One person was shot but police and witnesses said the injury was not life-threatening.

“They transported themselves to an area hospital,” said Sgt. Brad Gilmore, Oklahoma City Police Department. “Where they were treated and released.”

The man who gave News 9 the Ring video said he was fed up with parties at the Airbnb home and had complained to the homeowner and the Homeowner’s Association.

Others who moved to the normally quiet neighborhood to escape violence, now fear for their family's safety.

“The first thing in my mind was to check on my kids,” said Deantre Owens, neighbor. “That was the first thing, check on my kids. Like I said, a bullet don’t have no name. Could have come through a window, come through anything.”

Owens said there are a lot of children and elderly residents in the neighborhood. He now wants police to catch whoever is responsible for the shooting.

“I pray they get to the bottom of it,” said Owens. “And find out what’s really going o and that way we can keep our neighborhood safe.”

Police ask the public to report if they know anything about the shooting to the CrimeStoppers tip line at 405-235-7300.

News 9 reached out to the person listed as the Airbnb contact for the home. They have not responded to our request for a comment.
