High winds Thursday morning caused down power lines and thousands of power outages across Oklahoma City.
The national weather service issued a high wind advisory for parts of Oklahoma until 7 a.m.
News 9 meteorologist Jed Castles said wind speeds reached up to 70 MPH, causing power lines to snap and thousands of power outages.
As of 7:30 a.m., more than 21,000 power outages were reported in the OKC metro.
