A Midwest City man was arrested on Mother's Day on a murder complaint in connection with the death of his mother, police said.
Police were called about 6 p.m. Sunday to conduct a welfare check at a home in the 8900 block of NE 15th Street near N Douglas Boulevard.
When officers arrived to check on 75-year-old Irene Beers, they found and spoke to her son, 46-year-old Aaron Bradley Beisbier.
Beisbier told police his mother left for the casino a few days ago, but her pickup was still in the driveway.
Officers spotted blood in the bed of the pickup and pointed it out to Beisbier. Police said he admitted to killing his mother to the officers.
Beisbier was arrested on a murder complaint.
Oklahoma City police found a body Sunday morning in the 4700 block of N Midwest Boulevard near NE 36th Street. It was later identified as Beers, Midwest City police said.
