Six more virus-related deaths and 94 more confirmed coronavirus cases were reported in Oklahoma since Thursday, according to daily numbers released by the state health department.
A total of 4,424 Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19 and a total of 266 virus-related deaths have been reported, the state health department said Friday.
Two deaths happened in the last 24 hours and four happened between May 2 to 6.
One woman aged 65 or older died in Oklahoma County. One man aged 50 to 64 died in Caddo County. One man aged 65 or older died in Cotton County.
One man aged 65 or older died in Le Flore County. One woman aged 50 to 64 died in Rogers County. One man aged 65 or older died in Washington County.
A total of 815 Oklahomans have been hospitalized due to the virus with 228 currently in the hospital.
As of Friday, a total of 84,869 tests have returned negative. This includes state testing and private lab testing since February.
So far, 3,064 Oklahomans have recovered from the virus with 79 more cases considered recovered since Wednesday. Health officials said recovered means the patient is not hospitalized or deceased and it has been 14 days since the onset of symptoms or report.

On April 28, Gov. Kevin Stitt said anyone who wished to take a COVID-19 test could do so even if they are not presenting symptoms.

On April 22, Stitt introduced his multi-phase plan for reopening the state beginning with plans to reopen personal care businesses on Friday by appointment only.

Oklahoma City and Tulsa started reopening on Friday, May 1, after they allowed their shelter in place orders expire.
Stitt issued an executive order April 2 declaring a health emergency in all 77 Oklahoma counties.

The state health department advises anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as shortness of breath, fever or coughing to stay home and limit person-to-person engagement.
