Oklahoma City police are looking for a man accused of walking into the Amazon warehouse in southwest Oklahoma City and fired a shot.

Police said the man and a woman fled the scene and are at-large.

Police were called about 4 a.m. Tuesday to the warehouse near SW 15th Street and S Council Road. The woman with the suspect asked an Amazon employee to speak to someone there.

"(She) asked if they could find them or talk to them,” said Master Sgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “It was made clear to them that person no longer worked there.”

Police said that was when the armed man charged past the guest entrance.

“He was confronted by an employee of the business and told he would have to leave, at which time he produced a handgun and actually fired a shot at the ceiling,” said Knight. “To the best of my knowledge, he did not point the gun at anyone or try to shoot anyone.”

The unwelcomed guests left, but not before the armed man took aim at a truck.

“There was a box truck outside that had a driver in it,” said Knight. “He fired several rounds into the box truck.”

No one was hit by gunfire.

Amazon employees told News 9 that the building was evacuated and shut down for several hours while investigators gathered evidence.

Investigators quickly learned the identify of the suspected shooter and worked on getting a warrant for his arrest.

“The suspect’s vehicle was recovered a short time later in northwest Oklahoma City,” said Knight.

The suspect could face assault with a dangerous weapon charges. Police said the woman who was with the suspect, at this time, will likely not face charges.
