I'm talking about the Daytona 500 and President Trump.
Now, love him or hate him there's no denying he knows how to put on a spectacle.
President Trump did it this weekend at the Daytona 500.
Coincidentally, I'm sure, Daytona is in Florida, a state the president must win to be re-elected.
That's a fact not lost on opponents who are crying foul about the president spending tax dollars in what they call a clearly political event.
If you didn't see it, the president on arrival buzzed the racetrack low and slow in Air Force 1, then once trackside addressed the crowd of more than 100,000 Nascar fans.
But the icing on the cake was when the presidential limo, nicknamed the beast took to the track, the president and first lady inside, to serve as a Daytona 500 pace car, and then from the limo the president spoke to the drivers through their helmets wishing them luck and safety.
All presidents use the trappings of the office for their political gain, this weekend President Trump took it to a new level.
