Frankie, an 8 week old Dachshund and Chihuahua mix, is one of the happiest, wiggliest, sweetest puppies you'll ever meet! He is the biggest of his litter and he has a brother and a sister who aren't big enough for adoption just yet but will be available soon. He is a gentle little guy who is looking for a family to continue to encourage him to grow up and have good manners as he gets older. Frankie loves to give kisses and his little tiny tail hardly ever quits wagging!

A man was sentenced Monday to three months in federal prison for shooting a protected northern elephant seal to death on the central California coast near San Simeon. A Los Angeles federal judge also sentenced Jordan Gerbich, 30, to a year of supervised release after his prison term, three months of home detention, 120 hours of community service and ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
