Man severely burned in house fire identified

Firefighters were called to a house engulfed in flames at SE 55 St. EMSA treated 29-year-old David Elliott before taking him to the hospital.

Elliott remains in critical condition with second and third degree burns over 40 percent of his body.

The houses surrounding the burning home were evacuated as a precaution.

Hot power lines were down in areas across the metro, including near the burning house.
