A man and a woman were found shot in northwest Oklahoma City this morning as police chased the suspect, police said.
Police said the shot woman was able to walk out of the house she was shot in and flag down police. The shot man was found still inside the house.
Dana McEnulty, a neighbor, said she heard gunshots at around 5:20 a.m. "right outside her door" at NW 28 St. at N. Pennsylvania Ave. and called police.
A man ran out of the house and jumped in a waiting SUV parked on the street with the engine running, McEnulty said. Police chased that truck up NW 28 St. at speeds of around 75 mph, police said.
The suspect crashed the SUV into a cemetary embankment at NW 28 St. and Western Ave. and began running. Police said they found blood at the scene of the crash, but are still looking for the suspect.
Marijuana and a substance that looks like methampetamine was found inside the house, Sgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City police said. The substance is being tested to determine if it is a narcotic.
Neighbors said they suspected the residents of that house could be involved in drugs as great number of cars would come by the house, park and then leave soon after.
No information on the condition of the man and woman shot has been released yet.
