ARDMORE, Okla. - Lowell Grimes of Gainesville, Texas was shot during a carjacking in southern Oklahoma Wednesday night, officials said.
The 50-year-old was car jacked near mile marker 49 on Interstate 35, near a scenic turnout. The vehicle was later found near mile marker 51.
Grimes suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, and was taken to OU Medical Center.
He is listed in critical condition.
Sheriff deputies and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are searching for a white male and female. The two are reportedly driving a four-door dooley, black and white pickup truck with Pennsylvania license plate tags.
Investigators believe the two could be traveling south on Interstate 35.
