Friday 9:15 a.m. - Headed to Galveston

We're crossing the causeway to Galveston.  IKE won't make landfall for more than 12 hours but already homes on the bay side are surrounded by water.

On the Gulf side the waves are already crashing over the seawall.

I'm a hurricane rookie but even I can tell IKE could devastate Galveston.  IKE will have a huge storm surge.  Galveston is going to be completely submerged!
