GRADY COUNTY, Okla. -- A large grass fire 3 miles west of Chickasha has consumed at least one structure.
A barn was burned to the ground. Fortunately, a mobile home and a few other structures were spared. At least two homes were in immediate danger from the flames before the fire was carriued north by the winds.
The fire was on Grand Avenue near the town of Verden. Fire officials are on the scene still trying to control the fire.
Winds around 16 miles per hour have pushed the fire near a creek, and officials are fighting to control the blaze.
No injuries have been reported.
