OKLAHOMA CITY -- The city of Oklahoma City has made an improvement to its Web site that could save you valuable time on days the weather gets bad. The city, along with Oklahoma City Police, unveiled a tool that allows people to see where accidents are located in the metro, allowing for time to adjust a driving route.

Nothing is worse than when you're running late to work and you find an accident has stopped traffic and left you stuck in it. It is that type of situation the city is hoping to prevent.

Whether it's an accident caused by icy roads or a collision during busy highway traffic, it doesn't take much to cause a traffic jam, leaving you stuck in the middle.

The new tool on the city's Web site shows a map of the city and access to real time traffic accidents that could slow your commute.

Pay attention to the time of the accident. It will leave up an accident on the Web site until the officer has finished the accident report. This means an accident could still be posted on the Web site, but already cleared off the street.
