MIDWEST CITY -- A home invasion turned into a standoff with Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputies at about 11:20 a.m. Thursday.

According to Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Communications Director Mark Myers, the home, 1701 Hughson Avenue, was invaded by two men.

Myers said the men knocked on 50-year-old Anthony Fallis' door, and he opened it thinking he knew one of them. The two man sprayed pepper spray at Fallis.

"The victim says after he was sprayed by pepper spray, that the suspects grabbed a sword from inside the victim's house and also a walking cane inside the house and began attacking him," Myers said.

Myers said Fallis then ran to a nearby room, pulled out an unloaded gun and called 911. After Fallis refused the two men's attempts to persuade him out of the room, they fled the scene.

Anthony Fallis was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The family has lived on the property for 29 years and said overall it is safe, even with the latest incident the victim's father doesn't worry about intruders.

"Someone comes down my hallway, I don't want to be begging them to leave me alone. I'll shoot him and they can take care of that," Ray Fallis said.

Last May, a man was shot and killed after he was caught burglarizing a barn on the property.

According to an eyewitness, the men left with property that belonged to Anthony Fallis. A neighbor described the suspects as two white men.

Myers said the men were last seen driving a brown, four-door vehicle with damage on the passenger side. The vehicle is possibly a Ford.

The suspects could face aggravated assault and battery, and grand larceny from a residence.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident is asked to call the OCSO at (405) 869-2501.
