OKLAHOMA CITY - The majority of the metro is waiting inside while the ice storm passes except for one area of town.

Around the area of Interstate 44 and N 39th Street is a group of soccer fields with massive hills. The slopes team with both young and old, sledding and screaming with laughter.  The scene plays out whenever Oklahoma City gets the slightest dusting of snow or ice.

Jose' Estrada had been sledding for over two hours without a sled.

"I'm using this top from a crate," Estrada said. "It works real good."

A lot of the kids taking advantage of the slick conditions don't have typical sleds. Luis Ramarez found his sled on his way to the soccer fields.

"I found this plastic thing in the tree," Ramarez said. "But it really works good."

Jacob Stewart had to put a little bit of work into his sledding device.

"I'm using a skate board deck," Stewart said. "I took the wheels off."

Everyone at the park was having such a great time; I decided to try the hills out for myself. You can ride along with me by clicking on the video to the right.
