MOORE, Oklahoma -- David Lyon, a News 9 viewer, sent photos in of a car in Moore that slid off the road and eventually flipped into a ditch.

Lyon said he was driving near 164th Street and Telephone Road in Moore at about 1 p.m. and saw a man standing beside his car that was teetering over the edge of a small bridge.

The driver, Stephen Davis, told Lyon he lost control of his car and it started drifting toward the side of the road and came to a stop teetering on the edge of the culvert.

"I was scared, at that point I was scared," Davis said.

Davis said he considered trying to climb out the sunroof when a passerby suggested he climb out the back hatch.

"He kind of held the back tire as it was kind of wobbling and I was like heck with it and I just went for it and I shot out and jumped out," Davis said. "I jumped about eight feet to the ground. Thank God I was able to get out."

Davis came back a bit later and the car had flipped over and landed on its top in the creek.

And for him it couldn't be much clearer what may have happened if it wasn't for the kindness of a stranger and a little help from above.

"Thank the Lord above, that's all I can say," Davis said.
